摘要：
In this note we suggest coupling occupation data with educational data to construct a better measure of labour skills using the Laspeyres index approach. With the resulting measure of the female/male skills ratio we are able to corroborate estimates of the decomposition of earnings obtained using the standard Oaxaca methodology. © 1990.
