摘要
Abdominal trauma is still a challenge in clinical practice. A structured management routine is nescessary to ensure rapid diagnosis and treatment so as to reduce morbidity and mortality. Injuries to solid organs exert a particularly strong influence on the patient's prognosis and clinical course. In the case of hepatobiliary and splenic trauma the main challenge lies in the need to control life-threatening bleeding, while in pancreatic injuries the primary goal is the avoidance of septic complications. It is essential to tailor operative treatment to the patient's injuries and general hemodynamic situation.
