摘要
Introduction: Some authors have pointed out more than 200 factors and variables related to the breach, to be taken into account if it is to change it. Objective: To identify sociodemographic and clinical characteristics associated with pharmacological treatment adherence in outpatients with cardiovascular risk. Methodology: Patients who met the inclusion criteria were asked an initial interview, which included collection of demographic and clinical characteristics and the adherence test. Were collected and recorded the values of total cholesterol and blood pressure, and determined the patient's cardiovascular risk. If the cardiovascular risk was moderate or high, the patient was included in the study. Results: Adherence is favored by the patient's perception of health status as fair, poor or very poor, for the female gender and the presence of any cardiovascular risk factor such as dyslipidemia. Conclusioins: It is therefore necessary to consider the different variables that may influence adherence and set individualized strategies for combating non-compliance with pharmacological treatment.
