UPGRADING OF WASTE PAPER FOR HIGH-QUALITY WOOD-CONTAINING PAPER GRADES

The use of waste paper for the production of newsprint papers is state-of-the-art for years now. Today, however, public opinion, but also economical considerations ask for the usage of waste paper also for the production of high quality wood-containing paper grades, such as SC-and LWC-papers. With a suitable preparation of the waste papers and a post treatment of the deinked furnish it is basically possible to correspond to this demand. This is a report on the basics, the process technique and the industrial results.
