摘要
The objective was to carry out a documentary analysis about the corporate governance present in family businesses. The research reviewed highlighted situations about corporate governance practices. The need to characterize this type of company to distinguish it, and promote its development, was addressed. It was identified that the family business usually arises out of necessity, that the concentration of family members in positions within the company hinders the management process. The relevant values correspond to commitment. And regarding succession control, this is relevant for family businesses to guarantee their continuity.
