摘要
Kinetics of PG-50 powder graphite oxidation in sulfuric acid solutions of potassium permanganate were investigated. The constants of liquid-phase oxidation of graphite powder were determined at various temperatures. Graphite powder was found to react with KMnO4 sulfuric acid solution in the temperature range under 60 degrees C. With further increase in temperature, oxidation yielding CO2 is intensified. From the Evans corrosian diagrams platted for the short-circuit element (-) C\KMnO4, H2SO4\Pt (+) suggestions are made concerning the diffusion limitations of the process. The possibility of Electrochemical regeneration of the oxidant at Pt, Pb, steel, and graphite electrodes was investigated by cyclic chronovoltammetry.
