ON A GENEALOGY OF MODERN GREEK LITERATURE

This paper focuses on uncovering the different ideologies behind several compilations on History of modern Greek literature, which implies dealing with interpretations, revisions of the tradition, and even political evaluation. In this sense, the author first analyses the preface of "A History of Modern Greek Literature" by C. Th. Dimaras adopting Jacques Derrida's "negative hermeneutics" and later approaches the subject through the politics of discourse taking Michel Foucault ' s "Archaeology" as a model.
