ENTREPRENEURIAL METHODOLOGIES USED IN THE ECUADORIAN UNIVERSITY: THE CASE OF AN INSTITUTION OF ORENSE HIGHER EDUCATION

摘要
The purpose of the current research is to explore and evaluate the education of the entrepreneurship methodologies used in the Ecuadorian University such as Technical University of Machala located in El Oro, province of Ecuador. The study is based on information from thirty-one professors of all colleges belonging to the same University. A questionnaire was applied to gather information about the use of instruction, teaching methods and evaluation used in classrooms in entrepreneurship. The results show that the methodologies of entrepreneurship education are in its initial phase of development with limited methodologies and use of technological resources web 2.0. The study is based on the analysis, patterns of education, implantation of programs of studies and evaluation of professors involved in the teaching of methodologies of entrepreneurship. The research suggests the need to incorporate to the entrepreneurial education methodologies to improve the methods of teaching and evaluation in the classrooms and encourage the produce long term entrepreneurship projects, besides the results also suggest the need to improve the capability of academic staff involved in the teaching of entrepreneurship.
