The history of sociology in Turkey is more than a hundred years. In spite of this long history, I am thinking that the history of Turkish sociology was taken up in a slapdash manner on a large scale. And a lot of the essential problems of Turkish sociology and Turkish thought look for to consider. In this paper, I am aiming to evaluation of the essays on the classification of Turkish sociology that centered around two figures: Ziya Gokalp and Sabahattin Bey. Firstly, I underlined the certain characteristics of Turkish sociology, since I believe that they are necessary to place these discusses to a healthy basis. Following, I am trying to evaluate comparatively the sociological understandings and thoughts of Ziya Gokalp and Sabahattin Bey in the context of discusses on the classification of Turkish sociology.
