摘要：

Syntheses are reported for 2-aryl-4-hydroxy-6-oxo-1,3-thiazines, their sodium salts, and methylated derivatives. X-ray diffraction structural analysis and IR spectroscopy were used to show that these compounds exist in the crystalline state in hydroxycarbonyl form with the hydroxyl group at C4.
