摘要
Two Brazilian species of Baccharis, B. megapotamica and B. coridifolia have been shown to contain a number of macrocyclic trichothecene antibiotics some of which are identical to those produced by the common soil fungi Myrothecium. A number of different materials and methods have been used in a large-scale (1800 kg) isolation procedure and in the chemical analysis of plant material, inter alia ferric gel precipitation, fractionation using polyethyleneimine impregnated silica gel and countercurrent chromatography.
