PHOTOEMISSION INTENSITY AND DENSITY OF STATES IN THE SUPERCONDUCTING STATE OF BI2SR2CACU2O8

摘要
We calculate the photoemission spectrum and the density of states for a model of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 consisting of a narrow two-dimensional band and interactions due to exchange of phonons (alpha2F) and spin fluctuations. As T is decreased below T(c), we obtain in the photoemission (density of states) a narrow BCS-like peak, a smaller peak at lower (higher) energy, and a minimum between these two peaks. This is in qualitative agreement with photoemission and scanning-tunnel-microscope measurements. These features are caused by a peak in alpha2F at low energy and by the gapped spin fluctuation spectrum. We find also that the energy gap opens up more rapidly-below T(c) than the BCS gap.
