摘要
In 1987, 518653 pieces of oxygen sensors were consumed in Japanese steel-making companies. A history of the development of oxygen sensors for steel making in Japan is briefly summarized. The number of oxygen sensors consumed in steel-making processes, the method and the objectives of using oxygen sensors etc. have been investigated for Japanese steel-making companies. New types of chemical sensor have been explored using two scientific principles of auxiliary electrodes with stabilized zirconia and new solid electrolytes with cationic conductions for high temperature use in pyrometallurgy.
