摘要
University campuses are some of the important constituents of urban green open space systems, which offer important contributions to the landscapes of the cities where they are located. In this study, the green open space system of Kutlubey-Yazicilar Campus of Bartin University is recommended to be arranged in line with the principles of botanical garden planning and design. In the case of Kutlubey-Yazicilar Campus of Bartln University, the planning and design works were evaluated in three stages. Academic studies and a landscaping Project in the nature of implementation area for students were put forward as a sample space constituting the 1 st stage in line with the principles of botanical garden planning and design, which is recommended to be spread throughout the campus. At the same time, with intent to ensure effective management of the green open space of the campus, the cases in Turkey and the World were investigated, and then the "Sustainable and Effective Green Campus Model" was recommended, as a management model considered to be necessary and important. The article contains the (i) Description of the Study Area, (ii) Characteristics of Kutlubey-Yazicilar Campus Area of Bartin University, (iii) Current uses and requirement list of Kutlubey-Yazicilar Campus Area of Bartln University, (iv) Determination of the main decisions of the Landscape Design Project, (v) Stages related to the problems encountered in the campus areas, management and recommendations. In this study, the green open space system and management of Kutlubey-Yazicilar Campus of Bartin University was aimed to be at a level that constitutes a model for similar universities in the region, which have been newly established and began to constitute their physical development in terms of plant species and other physical developments. By means of this study, Kutlubey-Yazicilar Campus Area of Bartin University located in rural area will be of importance in the future, as a part of the urban green open space system at the scale of Bartln's urban macroform.
