ANDEAN UNION CONSTITUTIONAL LAW: COLOMBIA, ECUADOR AND PERU

Andean constitutions are characterized by proclaiming the freedom of association in the list of fundamental rights. However, notwithstanding its importance in national legislation, its implementation is undermined by the legislation itself and / or the performance of the labour authority. The constitutional courts and international monitoring bodies have played a real protective role. The article states the content of the constitutional rights in three Andean countries: Colombia, Ecuador and Peru and the way the rights are upheld in practice.
