摘要
For short-haul routes up to 200 miles long, the analog N-carrier may still be an economical way to obtain more circuits, thanks to the development of new N-carrier equipment. The new N4 terminals take up only 14 percent of the space occupied by comparable N3 bays, cost less, and use far less electrical energy. The equipment is entirely compatible with existing N3 terminals, and uses the latest developments in integrated circuits.
