EVIDENCE FOR CORE-POLARIZATION INTERACTION IN ODD-ODD IN NUCLEI

摘要：
The effective proton-neutron interaction was analyzed in 12 multiplets of In-106-116. It was found that the quadrupole-quadrupole component of the interaction is about twice as strong as in the doubly magic region. The increase of the quadrupole-quadrupole interaction strength is in agreement with the presence of a core-polarization interaction, predicted by the particle-vibration theory and is consistent also with the increase of the proton and neutron effective charges in these nuclei.
