摘要
An experimental investigation of the subsonic separated turbulent boundary layer over a forward-facing step has revealed that there are two distinct regions of the flow. One, the farfield, is seen to scale on step-height alone, once the Prandtl-Glauert rule is applied. The notion of the boundary layer behaving as an inviscid rotational stream has been used to explain trends in the nearfield.
