摘要
When designing superconducting multiwire cables the main varying paramerters at the present level of critical current or total cross-section of the cable are a diameter and a number of initial wires and magnitude of interwire resistance. Up to now the exact criteria of these magnitudes definition are not available. The effect of constructive parameters of a multiwire cable on its operational characteristics is presented in this report. It is shown that with the number of the wires being changed the minimum on the curve of the total coupling losses versus number of wires occur (total cross-section is constant). The minimum position depends, in general, on the total cross-section of the cable and the ratio between transverse resistance of wire and cable. Calculation formulae for defining optimisation construction have been presented in this report.
