摘要
A theoretical study of a symmetric double-coupler single-mode fibre ring-loop resonator with two ports is carried out. An active scheme using photorefractive fibres with degenerate two-wave mixing is also proposed. The circulating and transmitted output intensities, as well as some performance parameters such as the finesse, the peak transmission and the contrast are computed. It is found that this fibre configuration has a unique dual characteristic in that it can be considered as either a double-coupler ring or loop resonator. Moreover, with two-wave mixing, the output intensity is amplified, its characteristics changed and its finesse increased significantly.
