RHETORIC AND SPEECH CULTURE IN THE SYSTEM OF SPEECH DISCIPLINES

The article presents Standards of Speech, Stylistics of Scientific Speech, and Rhetoric in the system of the humanities. The author explains objectives and goals of the abovementioned courses, pursues and suggests a number of steps to build up student's communication competence and speech culture. Such disciplines as the Russian Language and Standards of Speech serve as a basis for the system of mandatory and optional courses of speech education.
