POSITRON LIFETIME IN VOIDS INDUCED IN QUENCHED ALUMINUM

摘要
The lifetime changes from 0.520 +/- 0.020 ns to 0.580 +/- 0.020 ns for positrons trapped in quench-induced voids as the average void diameter varies from 14 to 2 nm. This work shows that the positron lifetime in the void exceeds the limiting value of 0.500 ns for the spin-averaged lifetime of positronium.
