摘要
Starting from a sequence {P(n)} of orthogonal polynomials with respect to a quasi definite or regular linear functional, we construct a new sequence {Q(n)} of orthogonal polynomials such that Q3n(x) = P(n)(x3). The basic tool is the three-term recurrence relation which such a family satisfies. As an application we present some examples concerning Chebyshev and Hermite polynomials.
