摘要：
Highly excited, Rydberg states of carbon dioxide clusters have been produced in a "Lineberger-type" cluster source and detected via field ionisation. Lifetimes of these states have been shown to be greater than 50 μs for principal quantum numbers 50≤n≤75. As the cluster size increases there appears to be a greater contribution to the signal from species with lower field ionisation rates. © 1990.
