摘要
The structure of constitutive equations for non-linear multiaxial behaviour of transversely isotropic, fibre-reinforced metal matrix composites subjected to proportional loading has been investigated. Results from an experimental programme have been combined with numerical simulations of the composite behaviour for complex stress states to reveal the full structure of the equations. It was found that the non-linear response can be described by a quadratic flow potential, based on the polynomial stress invariants, together with a hardening rule that is dominated by two different hardening mechanisms.
