摘要
Laklano/Xokleng is an indigenous people in the South of Brazil long before the arrival of the Portuguese who occupied the fertile lands. The colonization process resulted in the near extinction of indigenous peoples who resisted cultural submission. The problems were multiplying in the face of development processes that making the indigenous people increasingly invisible. For the LaklAno/Xokleng it became a condition of survival understand the dominant culture. The indigenous school was instrumental in making this viable. This study aims to problematize the actions that aimed the development of the region with the arrival of Europeans and to identify indigenous survival strategies. We assume that these strategies were strengthened by the presence of the indigenous school. This study used bibliographic, documental and empirical data. All things considered we can conclude that libertarian educational processes can be configured as a possibility to rescue indigenous history and culture and demonstrate the contribution of this people in the constitution of the European Valley.
