TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENCE OF HYPERSENSITIVE TRANSITIONS OF EU-3+ IN DIFFERENT GLASS MATRICES

摘要
Oscillator strengths of hypersensitive transitions of Eu**3** plus and Eu-O distances have been calculated in different glass compositions. A comparative study of these results with those obtained by Reisfeld shows a dependence of the intensity parameters on the glass compositions. An explanation of the unusual enhancement of the intensity of the hypersensitive transition in tellurite and germanate glass between 100 to 600 K has been given on the basis of feeding of lower states by the upper states.
