摘要：
In the article the prospects of formation and development of regional strategic planning are considered. The problems that prevent the development of strategic planning in Sverdlovsk oblast are identified. The proposals to improve the quality of strategic planning in the region are formulated. The authors define the directions of updating the strategic documents of municipalities of the region.
