Mercosur Heading for the Agreement with the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan: Experience of Negotiating with the EU and China

In the light of the anticipated Memorandum on Cooperation between the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia and the South American Common Market (Mercosur), the article provides an in-depth analysis of Mercosur's bilateral trade negotiations with its key foreign trade partners - the EU and the People's Republic of China. The estimation of the parties' proposals and patterns of mutual trade liberalization as well as their interim bargaining positions are revealed in the article. The key trends of the Mercosur's economy resulting from such bilateral negotiations were forecasted in the research.
