摘要
The purpose of this article is to discuss the current knowledge of stuttering therapy for adolescents and the need for a research program that focuses on this population. Examination of the current therapy literature reveals that adolescents are typically grouped with either older children or adults and are rarely considered as a separate group. Discussion focuses on concerns related to the relationship between emotions and stuttering, transfer and maintenance of fluency, service delivery models, and the need for specialty certification.
