摘要
The increasing consumption of materials has been generating waste that has increasingly been affecting the enviroment since the industrial revolution. The development of sustainable materials tends to be a great choice both for environmental protection and for industrial development unless that does not violate the nature. Thus the biopolymers arise. These new materials are obtained through the polymerization process which consists of the assembly of monomeric units of renewable carbon. The emergence of this biodegradable material represents a new phase of sustainability which seeks to develop technology together with environmental concerns. These new products degrade in nature in shorter time gaps, thus resulting in a lower long term pollution rate. This review article aims to describe the advantages of Biodegradable Polymers in the reduction of environmental impacts caused by increasing urbanization. The focus is on the implementing of the Biodegradable Polymers in agriculture, using mainly the use of so-called hydrogels, considered as soil conditioners.
