摘要
Zinc Oxide (ZnO) nanowires on ZnO nanosheets have been synthesis using Catalytic Thermal CVD on gold catalyst. The structural, crystal growth and luminescence properties have been characterized using scanning electron microscope (SEM), x-ray diffractometer (XRD) and Photoluminescence spectrometer (PL) respectively. Results have shown that ZnO nanowires on ZnO microsheets have been successfully synthesis with average crystallite size approximately 35 nm. The ZnO nanowires on microsheet are preferentially growth at (002) direction. The PL spectrometer indicated the ZnO nanowires on ZnO microsheet have highest peak at UV emission. This ZnO nanostructure is suitable for UV emission devices.
