摘要：

Results of various unorthodox countermeasures implemented to reduce multipath fading in LOS links over the Indian subcontinent in different contexts are brought together. Their efficacies and suitabilities are discussed which can form an integrated procedure to diagnose the origin of fading and identify the suitable remedial measure. These results deduced from Indian subcontinent can be relevant to other tropical zones where similar radio meteorological conditions prevail.
