摘要
Poly(methyl methacrylate) was grafted onto glass beads, glass slides and silicon wafers using an immobilized radical initiator. The polymeric monolayers had thicknesses varying from a few hundred to 4000 angstrom, being up to 10 times larger than the radii of gyration of comparable free polymers. Due to the very low amounts of initiator used in these systems, the effects of traces of oxygen appeared to be very pronounced.
