The quantum matrix algebra M-q(2) can be constructed through Ore extension. This is used to construct M-q(2)-modules from modules over its subalgebra. In this paper, we illustrate this approach and for a particular module over the subalgebra we determine all submodules of the induced M-q(2)-module for either q being a root of unity or not.
