CRYSTALLIZATION OF INORGANIC SALTS WITH THE USE OF INERT COOLING MEDIA

摘要
The results of a preliminary test in application of a new method of direct-contact cooling of aqueous solutions of inorganic salt are presented. The cooling is conducted in a countercurrent column crystallizer by means of two-phase drops. The two-phase coolant, i.e. drops of isooctane-nitrogen, cools a solution of aluminium potassium sulfate which crystallizes from the solution. The obtained results show that in some types of crystallization the application of the described method is possible.
