摘要
Service-learning integrated with foreign language teaching has drawn increasing interest in college departments. It provides opportunities for students to use their language skills in authentic situations, it increases community-service work, it boosts resumes, and it opens doors to professional opportunities. Through a deeper look at SL and its impact on learners of a second language, sociocultural sensitivities emerge. This article will present how the socio-cultural theory and sociocultural awareness emerge through the use of service-learning with learners of French.
