The combined R-matrix, complex-coordinate rotation method is extended, by incorporating a frame transformation, to allow the calculation of the near-threshold spectrum of a simple molecule, para-H-2, in the presence of a laboratory strength magnetic field. The below-threshold photoabsorption spectrum obtained is in very good agreement with that from a previous calculation using a different method and the role of excited rotational states of the parent molecular ion in the above-threshold spectrum is identified.
