摘要
An efficient method is proposed to analyze wavelength-selective asymmetric integrated optical couplers with variable spacing between the waveguides. Numerical results considering the mode conversion are represented for such couplers consisting of two different InGaAsP waveguides on InP substrate. Comparison of our theory with results from both the Beam Propagation Method (BPM) and the experiments of other authors shows satisfactory agreement.
