摘要
The present article constitutes a proposal of a hybrid network model (wireless-optical network) that uses FSO technology (Free Space Optics) and offers access to a new-generation network. Such a network is intended to be a solution for providers when deploying service differentiation and it also offers on-demand bandwidth together with inter -provider shared infrastructure. The paper describes the operational principles and the technical characteristics of the FSO technology explaining and analyzing the network's architecture and the proposed reconfiguration algorithm.
