ESTIMATION OF ANTITETANUS TOXIN ANTIBODY IN EQUINE SERA BY ENZYME-IMMUNOASSAY

摘要
The present techniques used to assay the in vivo neutralizing activity of equine anti-tetanus toxin sera are laborious and expensive. In order to obtain a fast, precise and sensible in vitro technique, the authors developed an ELISA based on the inhibition of the interaction of the free tetanus anatoxin with the anti-toxin antibody coated on a solid phase. From previous incubation of tetanus anatoxin with the test equine anti-toxin sera resulted in a free anatoxin. The results obtained are given in absorbancy (50%) and the correlation with in vivo neutralizing test was highly significant (r(2) = 0.94). The confidence of the test was determined through the statistical variance analyses and t-Student test.
