摘要：
The Chinese national geochemical mapping project 'Regional Geochemistry-National Reconnaissance (RGNR) Project' was initiated in 1978. Hundreds of new mineral deposits and occurrences (one third of them Au) have been discovered by follow-up of the geochemical anomalies delineated by the project. The overall disposition for carrying out the project, the research and pilot survey in the preparatory stage of the project, and the achievements already gained while the project is continuing are briefly described.
