摘要：
The theory of the parabolic equation (PE) method and the manner in which a finite difference numerical solution scheme can be constructed are presented The treatment deals with both narrow and wide angle cases. The implementation of a second-order accurate ground boundary condition and an upper boundary condition, designed to minimise reflections into the computational region, are also described.
