摘要
A new class of compound, PP600 (3-isopropyl-6-(N-[2,2-dimethylpropyl]-acetamido-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-(1H, 3H)dione) has been found which inhibits the formation of the acyl lipids in sensitive plant species. Experiments using radiolabelled precursors showed clearly that PP600 inhibited de novo fatty acid synthesis at the level of acetyl-CoA carboxylase. However, unlike the cyclohexanediones and aryloxyphenoxy propionate herbicides which also show a similar action, PP600 was active at lower concentrations in vivo than in enzyme incubations, suggesting that it may be metabolised to a more active compound in sensitive grass species. © 1990.
