This article is about the relations of Russia and the USA in the Arctic. The Arctic is currently experiencing rapid systemic change as a result of climatic change with economic, social, political and security implications. It is not yet clear whether this plays out among the states and parties concerned through international cooperation or competition and possible conflict, and is now a hotly debated issue. The United States has made it clear that it is prepared to continue Arctic cooperation and that it welcomes constructive Russian activity in the area. Only time will tell, but the Arctic remains one of the promising pathways for our mutual cooperation. Research on these subjects will continue.
