It is shown that the original interpretation of the small-angle neutron-scattering data presented by Ashdown et al. in ref 1, i.e. that the particles are arranged in a fee array with a (111) face oriented against the surface of the Couette cell, suffers from several deficiencies. As an alternative interpretation, a hexagonal layer structure is proposed here, which is in perfect agreement with the experimentally observed Bragg diffraction pattern.
