摘要
New characteristic anomalous peaks have been found and theoretically identified in the X-ray Raman spectrum of polycrystalline Be. The anomalous peaks are located deep in the high-energy loss region of the spectrum. Our theoretical results for the electronic structure of the states show that these anomalous peaks are associated with d-like states in the high unoccupied bands. Such peaks and states have been recently identified for boron, the structure of which is very complicated based on closed packed icosahedra. The existence of such states and peaks for beryllium supports their more general nature and pauses several interesting theoretical problems.
