摘要：
The article addresses the issue of academic leadership, covering several concepts and definitions, with the purpose of understanding and describing different researches on how Presidents of different American Universities perform leadership. The main objective is to encourage further studies on the subject in different countries and cultures, where it is possible to find a lack of investigations about management in universities.
