摘要
Objective: Investigate whether the nursing staff of intensive care unit are predisposed to the Syndrome of Burnout. Method: Cross sectional study, carried out with 10 nurses and 44 nursing staff of ICU Teaching Hospital of the Sao Francisco in Petrolina / PE. The evaluation instrument was the questionnaire Jbeili, written and adapted by ChaficJbeil, inspired by the Maslach Burnout Inventory - MBI. Results: Analysis of the questionnaire showed a worrying situation among nurses in the ICU of Hospital Emergency and Trauma. No participant had a score between zero and 20 points, which would be no sign of Burnout. But all the professionals who participated in the questionnaire showed a significant score. Conclusion: It is important that nurses, especially those working in the ICU, will acknowledge the predictors of Burnout Syndrome, to try to minimize them.
