THE RNA-SYNTHESIS IN THE EMBRYOS OF GERMINATING-SEEDS OF MAIZE LINES AND HYBRIDS

The RNA synthesis has been studied in embryos of maize hybrids differing in the level of heterosis manifestation depending on productivity and in embryos of initial maize forms at early period of germination. Differences in the transcription intensity in high- and low-heterosis hybrids have been revealed already in the first 48 h of germination. They are responsible for the higher content of RNA in high-heterosis hybrids by the end of the third day.
